Commission Plan

At DEEB Realty we have always been one step ahead of the rest in our industry and our commission plan is just another example. When DEEB Realty was started in 1993, we were the first real estate firm in the area to offer our sales associates the flexibility run their own business. We wanted to give our associates the ability to run their business free from management interference. We wanted them to have the freedom to negotiate their own commissions with sellers without company mandated minimums or management approval.

We are still that way today! We firmly believe in giving our sales associates the highest commission splits in the industry. We don't have the complicated commission schedules that many Omaha area real estate companies use.

For those of you that are new to the real estate industry, companies traditionally have commission plans that start out at relatively low levels between 25% - 50%. Even after higher levels are achieved, the sales associate's commission levels usually start over every year, or are determined by the last twelve months of production or commission dollars earned. This means the sales associate's commission level may be lowered for not maintaining a certain level of production instead of being rewarded for past success.

In 2009, we created a comprehensive but simple commission structure for our sales associates. Our sales associates earn between 70% and 90% depending on their number of closed transactions dating back to January 1st, 2005. This includes closed transactions while you were at another company. That means your production numbers transfer from your previous companies to DEEB Realty for the purposes of your commission split.

Once you have achieved a commission level, it NEVER goes down

The incredibly unique aspect of our commission program, other than how much higher the commission splits are, is once you have achieved a commission level, it NEVER goes down. For example, if a sales associate closes enough transactions and is elevated to 80%, that associate will remain at the 80% commission level until he or she is goes to the next higher commission level. To reiterate, once you have reached a higher commission level, you remain there until you achieve an even higher level, it never starts over or goes back down.

Why did we create this progressive commission structure?

  • We wanted a new, unique, and retention based commission program.
  • We wanted to reward our sales associates for their life time of hard work not just what happened last year.
  • It helps our sales associates establish long-term measurable goals and get rewarded for achieving them.
  • We feel, as with any other career, that once you have done work for a company for a period of time that you earn a raise. To us it was just the right thing to do.
